Quartz Surface Protection and Restoration
Quartz, also known as engineered stone, is a hard, beautiful surface that is wildly popular because of the color options, easy of maintenance, and durability. But if it does become damaged, Stone and Surface Specialists has the skill to restore it.
Quartz Insights
Quartz is often called a man made-made stone or engineered stone. However, it is more accurately a hybrid stone, a cross between mother nature and man.
Quartz countertops were first invented in Italy in 1963 and today they are one the most requested household surfaces.
Depending on the manufacturer, a slab of quartz is at least 90% pulverized quartz and other aggregates, which are all natural materials. The other 3-10% are resins and binders. These materials are needed to hold the pulverized particles together and are not natural products.

Quartz is not easily damaged, but if it does need professional servicing, you can count on the experts at Stone and Surface Specialists to resolve issues.

Once ground to the level and shape desired, the quartz is honed and polished to the finish that matches your surrounding tiles.

Quartz Tile Replacement
Although it is rare for a quartz tile to be beyond repair, sometimes tile replacement is necessary. Our craftsmen can, in many cases, remove your affected tile without damaging neighboring tiles, install the new tile, level the newly installed tile with the surrounding area, and then match the finish as closely as possible. Unless you have an extra tile from the original lot to install, replacement tiles will likely be noticeably different. Even if you purchase the same tile by name from the same manufacturer, the color may not be quite the same as there are variances within lots and from lot to lot as well. Have no fear, our professional technicians have the knowledge, experience, and skills to get your quartz looking sharp again.
