Does acid stain fade over time?

Acid stains are pretty tough cookies and they won’t just fade with time. However, if the top layer of concrete (which contains the stain) is worn away by straightforward abrasion (usually from being walked on or similar), that can give the appearance of fading as the color is worn down towards the original, unstained concrete below. This can be easily avoided by having us apply a sealer immediately after staining on any areas that are likely to have surface wear.

If it’s too late for a sealer and the wear has already happened, Stone Surface Specialists has several solutions that can get your concrete back to its tip-top old self. Give us a call today at 801 856 0164 to schedule your FREE evaluation with one of our experts.
