1 Make your own cleaning solution. 

For the outsides of your windows, you’ll need a stronger cleaning solution than for the insides. Rubbing alcohol and Castille soap are your friends for the task, and the combination will help you power through your windows in a jiffy. Mix together 4 tbspns Castille soap, 4 tbspns rubbing alcohol and 1/2 gallon warm water.

2 Use the right amount of product.

Most people make the mistake of over saturating a surface with cleaning solution. When you apply the product too liberally, you end up spending much more time wiping off the excess rather than actually cleaning. Using the sponge side of a double-sided squeegee, apply the solution to your window panes (do not oversaturate). A great sneaky tip to catch excess dirty water run-off is to roll up a towel and place it at the base of the window to catch drips as you wipe down the windows with the squeegee’s rubber edge. Work from left to right, top to bottom; try to keep the squeegee in constant contact with the window surface – this will help avoid squeegee-imprints. Wipe down with a soft dry microfiber cloth to remove any errant drips or streaks.
